A 3.5KG CONTAINER GIVES A PONY 83 DAYS SUPPLY AND A HORSE, 50 DAYS SUPPLY

Each batch is independently tested and suitable for use under Jockey Club and FEI rules.

THE FACTSHorses have evolved to eat a diet high in fibre/calcium and low in starch for up to eighteen hours a day. This means their stomach is usually full of food and saliva, which acts as a buffer between the poorly protected upper non-glandular area of stomach from the strongly acid fluid contents, sitting in the well protected lower glandular region.

Most trainers exercise their horses before feeding with a relatively empty stomach which means this protective buffering layer is reduced. Feeding Gastroraft just before exercise will promote a floating alginate and saliva layer high in calcium over the acidic fluid and help support a natural pH gradient.

CAN I GIVE GASTRORAFT IN A FEED? Providing the feed has a high level of fibre and calcium from such ingredients as alfalfa, sugar beet pulp or dried grass relative to high starch ingredients such as barley, wheat and maize it should provide sufficient buffering to maintain the normal ph gradient within the stomach. Feeding Gastroraft or antacids with a meal should therefore be unnecessary and may interfere with the digestive process.

GASTRORAFT is a very palatable supplement designed to be given just before exercise. Most horses will rapidly acquire a taste for this product and may be fed a measured dose in a clean bucket. For fussy eaters a dosing syringe is provided.

GASTRORAFT may be fed up to four times daily between meals on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.
